Hello everyone. I know everyone's saying how the Macbook can handle TF2 via CrossOver, but I'm having some trouble with it, and would like to know how everyone elses' is like.

First of all, for me, the framerate isn't that great, and sometimes there are some graphical errors. And also, I am not sure if this can be solved, but my mouse seems to be abit slow when playing.

Also, when I respawn, it ALWAYS show that gun menu thing(where it shows you what guns you have and can select from it), and it automatically scrolls down without me pressing anything.

There are times when I am playing as the Sniper, and when zoomed in, I can see the right side of the screen when there is supposed to be black.

All these makes my TF2 experience terrible.

I have a 2.0 GHz 1 gig ram x3100 SR Macbook.

Would the errors dissapear if I had more ram, say a 2gig?

Does anyone else have this setup and can post what their performance is like?

More RAM is very unlikely to fix your problems. You're seeing a CPU or GPU limitation, not a memory limitation.

I don't know about the Intel X3100 card(that's what you have, right?), but its predecessor, the GMA 950, was no good for gaming. The X3100 is said to be faster, but we do not have a MacBook with that card yet, and MacOS drivers for new cards are always known to be buggy(see mac-opengl and mac-games-dev mailing lists). I'd recommend to wait a bit for Apple to fix the worst driver bugs, maybe then your issues will vanish as well.

Also make sure to disable HDR in the game's settings.
