Hi guys, i am not sure if this is a known issue or if it has a solution i googled everywhere and saw a thread talking about console fonts. But my problem is that my console doesn't open. It doesn't work. i have enabled the developer console and fast switch. Fast switch works, but the console doesnt. is there a fix? or should i reinstall the game?

I recommend to add "-console" to the TF2 command line in Steam. This works around the problems with the in-game option to enable it.

I think the problem is that the key to pop up the console is somehow mapped incorrectly, and thus doesn't work right.

sorry, im kind of a noob, but where do i add a command line in a mac?

It's a Steam-specific thing, it has nothing to do with CrossOver or the Mac: Select TF2 in Steam, then click on the "properties" button. This dialog has a button "Set command line parameters" or similar. Pushing it opens a textbox.

thanks, i simply changed the console button and it worked, no idea why ` isn't working. But thanks again.

Which keyboard layout are you using? Maybe we on one of those layouts the original console button isn't working properly. (The keyboard layouts are kinda tricky. We have to undo the layout and report a layout-independent key number, and when the app requests it, map the key number back to what the mac layout says)
