My teammates cannot hear me when I use the voice chat, and can not hear myself at the voice chat either.
Voice is a pretty big part of TF2 for me, can someone help me get it working? :)

I'm not too sure about the Mac version, but the mic doesn't work yet on the Linux version.
I believe it's one of the things in the pipeline that Codeweavers will get working.
The built in microphone on the latest iMacs works fine for me with 7.1.1 running TF2 in a window.
The Mic should work on Linux, if it is properly configured. Does it work in native Linux apps?

Have you changed your Input and Output setting in System Preferences?
Go to >> System Preferences >> Sounds and set your input and output devices to your headset.
I am having this same problem. If I go into the steam setting it just looks for windows sound and finds nothing.
Voice chat's worked for me on my MBP since day one, using the inbuilt mic. I've never had to set anything up.
On the Mac, the Voice Chat feature of the Steam GUI itself is known not work. Fixing that is on our list.
However, the TF2 in-game voice chat should work.
