Valve released an update to TF2 today, and I'm noticing a new issue. I'm now crashing on servers with custom HTML start screens. They would never show for me before, and I was fine with that, but now I'm unable to get past them. A dialog box pops up that says "____.com cannot be found", and clicking OK does nothing. I'm running Crossover Games 7.0.0 on OS X 10.4.11 with a 2.33 Ghz core 2 duo and a Radeon x1600.
Try updating to CrossOver Games 7.1 and see if it helps. (Some users reported problems with Tiger and your graphics card with 7.1, so until this problem is fixed it may not be a solution for you, but you should at least be able to test if you get past this problem)
Yeah, I downgraded back to 7.0 because of the death screen crash in 7.1 on Tiger. I could try later today and see if 7.1 fixes this.
Installing 7.1 fixed it. I connected to the server, played a bit, and crashed on the death screen. :/
Ok.
As soon as I have my mac back next week I'll provide a wined3d.dll.so file with the death screen fix reverted as a first aid measure. I'll see if I can fix the death screen properly on tiger afterwards.
