three new problems!

ok, first: when I attempt to chat with someone on my friends list, the window emediatly minimizes upon opening. When i open it, fifty percent of the time i cant see chat, or type in the box.

second, a well known problem: after 7 mins in game, crash. graphics make no diff, language english.

thirdly, i often get a white box in the corner of the screen, very annoying.

any chance the new version of crossover will fix these? there's always something messing me up...

Which platform are you using, Mac or Linux? Also, which graphics card/chipset do you have? If you're on Linux, which driver?

I've heard from another user about the crash after several minutes playing, but we don't see that here. I suspect it's a resource leak in your graphics driver.

With regards to chatting -- are you referring to the TF2 in-game chat, or the Steam community feature? The latter is known not to work, and we recommend disabling it.

I don't know about the white box. Again, it sounds like it might be a bug in your graphics driver.

I've actually never had any problems with the Steam Community interface until after I upgraded to Games 7.1.

I'm also having the same problems as the original poster - weird boxes popping up (For instance, I click the arrow next to a friend's name to join their game, and the little popup box refuses to go away, little boxes appearing at the corners of my screen, etc) and the crashing problem - only thing is, as it takes ~7 minutes just to get into a server, I don't even get any playtime before the window just closes.

Seconding the hope that the next release of Crossover will fix these issues as currently they are quite a step backwards.

EDIT: Upon reverting back to the previous version of Crossover Games, none of these glitches have transferred back. I'll be sticking with this version of Crossover until these problems are fixed

(Macbook pro, GeForce 8600 card, if you need any other info then just ask)
