I first loaded the tax software into the cxoffice default winxp bottle along with ie7. This did not run. Nor did a second installation in a win98 bottle along with ie6. Ie7 ran, ie6 did not, nor did either installation of TaxFreeway. A second beginning with only the win98 bottle ran perfectly, as did ie6. I was surprised that the first installation with two bottles failed - presumably there is some interference between the bottles.
In any event, the clean win98 install works perfectly - platinum standard. This is the only Canadian tax application which I know runs in Linux/unix. I completed quite a complicated tax submission with many forms and had no difficulty whatsoever. I am now free from MS windows as this was the finall application before changing over to linux entirely.
