Internet Explorer 6 is no longer available for download. IE6 allowed TaxAct to display many forms and help pages, and without it there are many blank screens in the program rendering it unusable. Crossover may be able to render these pages natively in a future version of Crossover, but for now TaxAct 2011 and earlier won't work in Crossover.
Internet Explorer 7 can be used in place of IE6 in order to get TaxACT to function. ;)
I've been working with TaxACT recently, in several versions going back from 2012 to 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, etc. In CrossOver 12.1.2 (12.1.2.26862), all of these prior to 2012 worked fine with CodeWeavers' own Explorer 7 installer.
With TaxACT 2012, however, many JScript errors are displayed.
In Internet Options, I disabled script debugging both for IE and Other, and disabled the option to display a notification about every script error. However, the script errors are still displayed.
If I try it using WS9Wine1.5.25 and winetricks ie6, it works, though forms don't display properly.
Any suggestions how to disable the script error notifications?
