Tales of Monkey Island: Chapter 1 - Launch of the Screaming Narwhal Forum

I've purchased all the five chapters from Steam (that is working under CrossOver Games 8.0.0), but when I launch the first chapter of ToMI I can only see a white screen; I can hear the sound effects on the background so I guess the game is working but the video rendering is not.

I read about people with similar problems on Wine, suggesting to disable I tried to turn off "Allow Pixel Shader" and that helped... I can finally see the graphics, but I can't read any text (since they're all covered with a black rectangle)

Have you any advice to give me, please ?

Which version of Mac OS X are you running? What kind of graphics card/chipset do you have?

I'm running Crossover Games on a Dual Core 2,4Ghz Mac Book Pro with Mac OS X 10.5.8 with 4Gb of RAM. Installed on the MacBook there are an nVidia GeForce 9400M and a 9600M GT (I've tried both with Crossover but I saw no differences... I saw the same white screen)

Somehow I managed to make it work... I have completely deleted the bottle and then reinstalled both Steam and ToMI. Now it works... even if the keyboard is not working in full-screen mode as already said... the funny thing is that I tried it also on the other MacBook I own which has Snow Leopard... and on that the keyboard is working properly ! :D
