Syberia through Steam

Anybody tried playing the Steam version of this game. I tried the Task Manager trick because I can hear the intro audio, but after that I'm left with a gray screen that says Syberia 1.0.0 in the top right.

Please, I'd appreciate any help.

EDIT: Nevermind. I had to install Visual C++ 6.0 and now it works!
