I gave the install an initial go following these steps:

1. Installed DirectX Modern Runtime and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 redistributable into a new bottle, as the Stronghold Kingdoms installer prompts to install these.

2. Installed Stronghold Kingdoms into the same bottle.

3. Attempted to run the game, which did nothing. (No splash, run screen, or error).

4. Attempted to run the game executable via the Run... command. I received a Crossover error log prompting me to install Mono for Windows. I installed the Mono for Windows via Crosstie into the same bottle.

5. Attempted to run the game again and... no dice. It attempts to run and immediately prompts an error message which appears to have something to do with the game patcher.

At this time, it seems likely the cause is that the patcher is attempting to call something currently unsupported in Wine.

The error, if any of our Crossover Wizards think it would be helpful, is as follows:
