Tried 2005 under SuSE, with success

I installed Microsoft Streets and Trips 2005 under X-office on a SuSE system, and it installed with a certain amount of snarling (it wanted office installed, but I was not able to install office successfully on that platform); but when I ignored that and went on, the installation seems to work reasonably well. It is a bit jerky in display, but I'm using a very old display subsystem. I think 2005 can at least have an honorable mention, but it hasn't been added to the database so I'm reporting it here as the closest thing.

Hi, could you let me know which version of Crossover and Suse? Thanks much.

I was also able to get 2005 to install under SuSE. However, the graphics are really messed up (background cycles through about 10 colors, other odd graphical effects). Here is my software:

SuSE 9.2
Crossover Demo 4.1

If I can get this to work, I am going to put in for a full copy.

Any ideas on the graphics issue? The graphics issue I believe is making some other issues (difficult to enter data, etc.).

I'm a bit of a newbie, so it might be some simple setup issue.

I installed 2004 under Codeweavers 4.2 on Xandros 3.0 OCE (with SP1). I see problems with the graphics also (making this application unuseable).

A couple of examples:

1) Entering an address to find brings up an unpopulated search dialog. Tabing through the fields will not tab sequentially. The entered data displays very poorly, The borders of the tabs are indistinct.

2) selecting the key ( default display down the LHS of the screen) should display colors etc for elevation, roads etc. Only the text is displayed.

In addition I have a few other problems:

1) screen redraw is very slow in this app. Each zoom takes a few minutes to complete populating data ( note other mapping packages on the same system compare in performance to native Windows. This seems to be a Streets issue... )

2) searching doesn't seem possible. Or at least I haven't found out how to search on data. When the find tab is enabled it doesn't seem to do anything. Usually it appears to be disableed even after entering all the required data.

On the positive side the main display once populated does display well and the application is stable. However the problems with the menus, performance and inability to search make this a not-recommended.
