DirectX support?

With the new success of HL1 mods connecting to servers, I ran out and bought "The Ship." Now, it won't play, stating that I don't have April 6th DirectX.

This appears to be a CrossOver problem. Any ideas on how to fix it? (I downloaded it and installed it, same thing)
