Well, it seems that Steam will not even load under Gentoo. Some error about there not being enough permission to run it. May need to reconfig it for single user mode and not running as root :/

Just use the loki installer and run as a user. I never do Root installs for games. Root works OK for apps you want to share between users, Word, etc.
It works for me with 6.2.0. Except that I'm using the default of each user having their own CrossOver directories and such.
