I under stand there is a tip under "tip sand tricks" that says simply to go to where the file was saved to play movies but the movies are saved in GCFs
Is there a way to extract GCFs yet? or am I in the wrong folder.

The file should be in .WMV form, I'm trying to find the directory where I found the videos I downloaded previously. I know I have found it before because the file is still in the folder I moved it to.
The directory is /Users/<your user name>/Library/Application Support/CrossOver Games/Bottles/winxp/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/media
You might have to try opening the file from within steam with windows media installed before it will appear.
Thanks for bringing this omission to my attention.
oh, man thanks. I was looking in the "steamapps" folder because it saves .gcfs with the same name there. you are a life saver.
well ok that's an overstatement but thanks anyway!
