STEAM DOES NOT LOAD MODERNWARFARE 2 PROPERLY

i puchased mw2 and when i start it up i get audio but no video , left 4 dead2 works just fine i also tried rainbowsixvegas same deal ? fix this bug please and also how can i play my games in window mode? when i hit command q to quit the game turns into a little window and i see everything there i get to click around and stuff 4 like 15 secs until crossover shuts down on me cancel shutdown wil just freeze the game

im running it on mac osx snow leopard 10.6 by the way

source games it is -windowed but for this try doing Program Files->Run Command->EXE of game in drive c then add a space after the quotes and added -windowed or -window and see if that works like below:

example version:

"/Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/Crossover Games/bottles/BottleName/drivec/Program Files/GameName/GameName.exe" -windowed

It should be something like that

If the game has support for windowed mode, it should work. However, if there are graphical glitches preventing you from accessing the in-game options, that can be a problem. There might be a text configuration file among the game's files that you can modify.

You can also configure your CrossOver bottle to run within a virtual desktop window. CrossOver's menu > Configure > Manage Bottles > select the bottle > Control Panel > launch winecfg > Graphics > enable Emulate a virtual desktop. With that enabled, all programs within that bottle will run inside a window.

Lastly, if a Windows program leaves CrossOver "stuck" in full-screen mode, you can force it out using the keyboard shortcut for the Restore Display item of the Window menu: Command-Option-R. That will produce a result kind of like what you were seeing when you used Command-Q, but CrossOver won't proceed to quit.
