hey guys

My Graphics card - ATi 5770
Linux Distro - Kubuntu 10.10
wine version 1.2.2 - stable release, i tried most 1.3.4+ versions using playonlinux

ok i know a phew of you are probably quite tired of this issue, but ive tried everything. im suffering when i run the installer from the digital download with wine, the menu options are distorted and missing

Solutions attempted:

• updating the grub file to nopat

• installing all depending files droid fontfix fontsmooth-rgb gdiplus gecko vcrun2008 vcrun2005 allfonts d3dx9 win7

• using crossover and playonlinux

• updating graphics drivers from the ati website

• normal graphics drivers from the additional driver section

Nothing i do seems to get me an installation menu , any advice or help will be appreciated

Its been a while since you posted but have you tried my trick of switching between the virtual terminals on your machine? Just Alt + F1 and Alt + (F7 usually) back and see if it fixes. I doubt it will work for missing buttons and such but if it isn't too much of a hassle for you could you please try it?
