Blizzard has ended support for WinXP so the default install configurations is broken. I tried installing using a win7 bottle but the dependencies didn't install correctly.

Have you tried installing using an older version in a WindowsXP bottle, then once it's installed, going into the WineConfig and changing the bottle type to Windows 7?
Change the bottle to Windows 7 and install the WOW-Crossover version. This is how it works for me.
It sucks that Codeweaver only advertises it for WOW when it fixes most Blizzard games.

Using the WOW Crossover works for me on SC2, it was very flaky before and would not log on. I just installed this version and all problems seem to be fixed.
