The install of Stacraft II fails when using Crossover.

When it gets to the step to install SC II it does tells it it is

1) Updating Blizzard Launcher
2) Then it launches the SC II Launcher with the error "Failed to retrieve Bizzard Launcher properties.

Then the install fails and I can't get any further. Any pro tips on how to get the install further?

I would:

1) create a bottle and name it Starcraft_2 or whatever name you may fancy
2) install the MS Core Fonts (wine has a bug that will cause the game to crash during the "Harvest of screams" mission if those fonts are not installed)
3) install the Battle.net Desktop App (it's what Blizzard is replacing their launchers with anyway)

• don't authenticate right away, close it so CrossOver can finish the installation. It may take a few seconds until Agent.exe closes. If it take more than 20 seconds, quit the bottle using the appropriate button in the bottle manager. Start the B.net desktop app again. It may act up. Quit the bottle. rinse and repeat until it starts. Of course, it may just work for you... YMMV

4) tell the B.net desktop app to install your game

Note: Core Fonts and B.net Desktop App have to be installed in the same bottle.

I've also filed a ticket which will point the staff to this thread.

Thanks Silviu Cojocaru for the reply. I created a WinXP bottle named Blizzard. I Installed the Core Fonts and the B.net Desktop app. But I can't get the B.net desktop app to not crash. I tried a good 50+ times and it keeps crashing when it tries to load.

What version of Crossover are you using? What distro? What are your system specs? When does it crash?
