Better in DX or OpenGL?

Hello all,

I am a little confused. I subscribed to updates to this game and received an email I would like to comment/discuss, but can't find it on this page. The email says:

CodeWeavers CrossOver Compatibility Center Update

SUBJECT: Better in DX or OpenGL?
BODY:

it seems that SCII can run in OpenGL mode. within CX, is it better to just let it run in DX mode, or set it to run in OGL mode?

thanks!

Giving the words "starcraft" and "opengl" to search engines did not yield results telling me how to run SC2 in opengl mode, only such that state the windows version doesn't support opengl. Now I have 3 questions:

  1. Where can I find this email on this webpage?

  2. Can SC2 use opengl in the windows version? And if so, how?

  3. Can CX run the Mac version of SC2?

Cheers!

I do not know of any OpenGL support in the Windows version of StarCraft 2. Do you have links to some documentation specifying how to enable it?

See question 2.

that was my post. i deleted it because further research proved that it was a misunderstanding on the part of certain people. the -opengl flag does nothing for SCII.

sorry for the confusion! ^^;

Stefan, is SC2 one of those titles that will benefit from the work you guys are doing to support D3D worker threads ?
