Ok so is it possible to use Origin to install this game on the mac in the unsupported build? Also have we moved past the usefulness or the unsupported build? or is it still the only build that gives us support for this game?

using origin to launch games is not a great idea it adds more problems and things that break. your definitely better off using the standalone game. however if you want origin you could install that and use it for all the ... well messaging friends. but it doesn't work on mac anyway.http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=9509;forum=1;msg=111961
As for the unsupported build. i expect that for a while it will be the only way to play the game. i don't expect to see these fixes in the latest supported versions of cxoffice for at least a month or two and even then it will probably only be for cxgames.
Some reasons for this is whenever they find a patch for a game or program they need to check to see if implementing this fix will affect other programs crating depreciation.
I however do know that diablo3 and swtor are games that both require a fix and they are not able to be in the same version of cxoffice or wine. i tried this myself and nothing would run. so as of 2 weeks ago when i checked they can not be run in the same build.
however that problem could be fixed quickly or not.
We shall see.
PS: i have a huge hangover atm. so if you don't understand this feel free to get a hangover for yourself, then try reading it again. :P
