Massive stuttering and freezing with M1 Pro Mac and Crossover. Best Settings?

I set all the graphics to the lowest settings but still have massive stuttering and freezing when trying to play.

What are the best settings?

I currently have D3DMetal On and MSync on in Crossover. Is that right?

Are there any other settings I need to change? Any patches to download?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
