Cursor Problems

Hi everyone

I'm having trouble using the game "Star Wars: Knights of the old republic"

It's the cursor. After I started the game, the cursor always clicks about 1cm more up. So I've got to click about 1cm below the buttons to use them. That's kind of annoying.

Also is on the bottom of the screen a strip of 1cm just black. On the top are the UI and the map cut off.

Here a screenshot of it (the cursor is on the screenshot missing -.-)

  1. Where the cursor at the moment is (you see the green button which is selected)
  2. The black stripe.

I tried to turn the option "hardware-mouse" off in the settings. After that, in the game appears two cursor. (the first like the old one (1cm wrong) and the second at the right place.

Does anyone has the same problem and know how to fix it?

Thanks for the help

All the best.

Fernando

p.s. I'm using a MacBook Pro i7 with the newest OS and version of crossover games. It's the CD-Version of the game (not from steam)

Hi, Fernando!
Actually, that looks like a screen resolution problem. In the game menu, (I'm not looking at it right now, but I imagine under "options" or some similarly-named button) look around for the place to change the in-game screen resolution to whatever your display's resolution is. Often when I've had mouse problems, I've cleared it up by changing the screen resolution, and the black strip at the bottom strongly suggests to that this may be the problem you're having. Try changing the screen resolution and let me know if it works.
Crispy

I had this issue once but forget exactly how I made it happen.
The game appears to sit in the wrong place If not run in a virtual desktop on mine.
Are you running in a virtual desktop? If you aren't give it a try.

Hi

Thank you for the help. Both ways worked :)

The problem is just that in 1280x960 the game kind of looks even more ugly then before.

With the virtual desktop even the resolution 1600x1200 works. Is there a way to get the game in a fullscreen mode with the virtual desktop?

all the best

Fernando

Hi, Fernando,

You could try setting the size of the virtual desktop to the exact size of your normal resolution.

Yeah that's exactly what I do.
