KotOR II won't work

Installed Kotor II with a disc I bought at best buy and it installed fine but when i try to open the game it says "no disc inserted" even though the disc is in the computer.. also before this it gave me a error with my video.. it says my card isn't good enough to play this game but I'm running it on a 24" iMac with an ATI Radeon 4850... any help would be appreciated thanks!

And in the future, when someone tells you you need a "crack," they're NOT referring to any kind of official software update from the developer.
