having a little trouble with crossover 8.0.1 on a mac, i installed crossover just fine, and i installed the swg (demo) just fine as well. the trouble starts when i go to do anything with the station launcher the log-in box appears and i can log in to the game launcher, however when i go to click-on swg a dialog box appears, that is blank and i can't go any further.

i have tried setting up a win2k, and a winxp bottle to launch the game, and i have added SwgClient_r.exe to the application list, and i have tried turning on "emulate a virtual desktop" i have looked on numerous forums and most people seem to get swg to at least load so i am sure i am doing something wrong. the problem is i am fairly new to mac, and i have no idea where to start

has anyone else had this issue that managed to fix it?

Have you tried this title with the latest crossover-games?

I would download the crossover-games-8.1.4 demo and give it
a try -- the problem may be related to differences between
crossover-office and crossover-games...

while waiting on a reply (and thanks for being so prompt) i downloaded the 8.1.4 version of crossover games as well, and get the exact same result. prolly should have started with the game version but 1 am downloads being what they are.......

so i found this on the link you provided, but the question is how would i do this in crossover? i don't see an option to add command lines to applications? also on the same site i found a direct link to the game files, so perhaps i can get the buggy launcher to work just well enough to get into the game which seems to be where swg works fine

my Station Launcher is broken for me too (Wine 1.1.10/xubuntu
8.10/amd64x2; it sorta works, but the windows keep disappearing
etc.) so I use the Station LaunchPad (which came with the original
game btw) for starting SWG instead, you can download a version of
the LaunchPad here:

cosmicrift.station.sony.com/download.jsp

start it with following switches:

wine "C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\Launchpad\LaunchPad.exe"
/game:starwars /env:ukmain /lang:en_US

it should then ask for the location of the game (if you let it point
to a wrong or empty folder it will re-download the game, you can fix
the path later by renaming the folder so he asks again or by
modifing the path in the registry) and work as intended (even
although you might not see the web-page based parts, but you don't
need them to start the game anyway).

sign up for a station launcher account online

activate Star Wars Galaxies Trial: (you can also just purchase the game here as well)

download the full install for swg (1.8 gig)

after you install the game you have to do a rather large update at least 6gigs..... whatever you do.....DO NOT.... use the current version of station launcher use the version that comes with swg
