SWG on Crossover 8.0.1

I recently installed Star Wars Galaxies with crossover on my Macbook Pro 2.66 GHz Processor 4gb Ram Nvidia 9600M GT. My problem is in the game I can't move at all I try to run forward and it keeps bringing me back where i started. I get a few steps and it glitches back... not sure what the problem is please help

This might be related to the following?....

....or more precisely, perhaps a wine bug ;

I'm not sure about the status of these with regards the upcoming crossover-games
8.0 release....but in any case, seeing as it may be a wine issue, you should
perhaps submit a support ticket on this front.

Oh, and have you tried crossover-games with this title to see if things
are any better/worse?

It's been like that for a while, see my post further down :D
Just go make a coffee/tea by the time you get back you should be able to move normally, the rubberbanding thing seems to last 2 - 3 mins.

Exact same fenomenon is what I am experiencing when trying to play this. Just like Glenn said it should go away after a few mins...
When I used to try to play this game in CrossOver I experienced a different problem too; strange jerkiness when using mouse or trackpad to pan the camera or move my character side to side while moving forward at the same time - made the game completely unplayable, no question there. Using the direction keys to make the same movements worked fine though... wierdest thing...
