Expected: Based on the silver metal i'd think that it'd work, and work well.

The installer has exited but Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 does not seem to be installed
Continuing with the install may produce unpredictable results.

It sounds like you may have a corrupted download of the MSXML 3 installer. The best thing you can do is remove your "installers" file and try again. If that doesn't get it off the ground, I would recommend you open a Support Ticket.
I'm having the exact same problem. Install freezes CrossOver every single time. I think it's a gimmick to get me to upgrade even though the version I have says Silver for this application as well.
