Hi
I am quite new to linux and crossover. Due to a total system crash and low funds I got sucked into a linux system, Ubuntu to be exact. I heard that this was a great program and would get my games running. I have been trying to get Star Trek Online functioning I have installed games 8.2 and that finally got the loader to boot but it wont update or proceed to the game itself any suggestions.

well long story short. My vid card went crazy, when attempting to reformat with the installed reboot the was under a partition on my hd it decided to erase the boot files as well. How I don't actually know since I used the pre installed windows software to reformat and reinstall factory setting. I cant afford the boot disks or to buy a new copy of windows right now so since I had several copies of Linux laying around I installed that so I wouldn't have a totally useless computer. On a side note I have always wanted to learn to use Linux that being the reason I had several copies around the house.
So I have totally browsed all the forum posts and tried everything including ressting and running in a widow thru the wine config and it still gets stuck at the patching.
