Arch Linux x64

I believe I have a configuration error in my Arch Linux installation but I am at a loss at what it is or how to fix it. Star Trek online crashes immediately upon starting the Launcher but seems to start just fine if you bypass it and run the game directly. I ran the launcher with log:

I can provide the entire log or gdb if requested. Most likely I am just missing something stupid in my installation as the installation works fine with my Ubuntu install.

If you look in the Bottle Manager, I have the following Applications listed there:

Crossover HTML engine
MS DX Runtime - Modern
MS VC++ 2005 Redist
MS XML Parser
MS XML Parser 3.0
STO itself.

Aside from the S4 patch login issues, the game should have been working fine for you if you had these installed.

Bottle is not the problem unfortunately. The same bottle is being used on Ubuntu/Mint and is fine. I tried to use the bottle on openSuse and it crashes at startup but with no errors that I can see. Really weird. It is definitely a 32 bit library that is not installed that is causing this. It seems to work fine on the 32 bit version.

PS. I have not updated to crossfire yet... so this may already be a non-issue

I do not know why it is necessary but the problem goes away when I install MS HTML Rendering Engine 7. I am going to update to the new season and see if I have any problems. 😀
