I've been attempting to get the game running on my 13" macbook pro (Mid-2010, OS 10.6.7) all to no avail. What seems to happen from my point of view is: The game installs and launches fine (no launcher problems since 10.1), patches and then runs. The display shows the Cryptic and Atari logos, then gets to the com badge screen (the one with "loading..." written on it.)

After that, the game merely hangs there and won't go any further.

I've tried running the game in both full-screen and windowed mode and I seem to encounter the same problem in both. I have been using the crosstie installer to automatically install all the relevant software into a new xp bottle. Once the game did seem to load, the theme music played and mouse pointer appeared on a black screen, leading me to believe it is something to do with the graphics settings/drivers. I can't say I've seen exactly this issue mentioned in the forum so I thought I would see what the community thought!

That part can take 5m after a large critical patch, but once done is snappy afterwards. I doubt you are getting a real hangup. I would say look at your HD light, but I know the Macs I have don't have them, so no luck there.

I have a reasonably fast system here and like I said, an uber patch will cause some thrashing for several minutes and then I get to the toon selector. All that time its at the Cryptic or Atari (forget which) screen with "Loading" at the bottom.
