Stalker SoC - NPC and character models problem

Hi, I recently installed Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl on my macbook pro, everything went fine, I could move around easily

The only problem is that every NPC (including myself I believe) is stuck in 'trance' where every NPC has there arms reaching straight out, and they're just stuck there.

My gun is also floating in midair, and does not do the shooting animation.

Also, the framerate is a little choppy.

Any fix for this?

Having recently upgraded to Lion after a couple of years of everything working fine in Leopard/snow leopard, I now have the exact same problem.... Anyone?

Have the same problem. Grass textures are flowing, Character models are cross position and still inthat position all the time.. Gun model won't even show up. I have highest setup iMac 27'' 2011 and game should work flawless on highest graphic settings.. any clue ? Same thing with Clear Sky and CoP.

Still no idea. I'm guessing it's either a Lion thing or something to do with the chipset in the new Macs?

My old iMac was a 2009, 24" screen, 8gb ram and 2,8 GHz, running Snow Leopard with a Nvidia chipset. It was running Stalker SoC with the Complete 2009 mod and/or Oblivion Lost mod like a dream. The new mac is mid 2011, 8gb RAM and 3,4 Ghz with a AMD radeon chipset. Only after the upgrade to the machine and to Lion did the problems start. It's the same on both crossover 10.0 and the new 11.0 so its not the software.

The only thing I can think of is to install Snow Leopard on the new Mac. If that works fine then it's Lion. If the problem persists then its the chipset. Sounds logical?

Hi,

I'm running the Steam version on Mountain Lion with Crossover 12.2.2, and I'm experiencing the same problem. I tried installing the Complete 2009 mod because... why not!? 😉 And to my surprise it did fix the issue... but only once. The next time I ran the game, it was back to NPCs without any animation whatsoever.

Has anyone found a way to fix this issue? The strangest part for me is that at some point, the animations DID work.

@Florent, Can you check if your Mac is running a nVidia graphics card or an AMD? I've a feeling it's a graphics card issue...

This issue is fixed in Crossover 12.5. No problems now.

I have the same issue on Crossover 13.1.3, OS X 10.9.2, iMac mid 2011, AMD HD 6750m 512MB.
