Installed, Plays, but with Graphical Bugs.

Installed the game fine, installed DirectX9 from the DVD and No***ed.

Menus work fine, saving and loading work fine. When I get into playing the game, however, I get some crazy graphical errors I've seen in games before. The graphics have some crazy lines coming out of the cars. See this screenshot below:

Any ideas would be really helpful!

You can try enabling the the SafeVsConsts registry hack for the game.

In regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/AppDefaults. Do: Edit > New > Key. Name the key for the .exe file name for the game. (I'm making this up, but something like "SplitSecond_Velocity.exe".) Select that new key and again do: Edit > New > Key. This time, name the new key "Direct3D". Select that. Do: Edit > New > String Value. Name the new string value "SafeVsConsts" and give it a value "enabled".

If that doesn't fix it, you can also try creating a string value named "useGLSL" and try values "enabled" and "disabled" to see if either helps.

I'm afraid that didn't work - though thanks for the idea. I've also tried change the DirectDrawRenderer for Direct3D and some other tricks that have helped in the past to do with registry. Is there anything else that could be tried, such as using wine's directx or something similar? I'm not that experienced with this type of graphic bug, but I've seen people fix it in the past.
