J# Redist and falling cursor issues

There were three "pre-flight" installations as part of the first launch process. The only one that produced any errors was the J# Redistributable Package 2.0 (see log below).

Despite this, the game runs perfectly well... if you don't mind having the menu bar there at all times; resolution changes result in the same gravity-affected cursor as seen in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=3415;forum=1;msg=80620). Changing all other Video options had the desired (or at least expected) results.

Hi,

If you have a look here...;

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834484

...might be some clue in that...permissions perhaps (I've seen some apps
need root permissions being assigned to some directory before some installers
or apps will work)...else, I'd suspect it's looking for .NET 2.0 +service_packs
(which aren't currently supported in CXG), no big deal of course if it's running
anyhow <grin> ...just FYI on the log 8)

Cheers!

Regarding the mouse issue, is it possible to set the game to use one of the display's "real" resolutions so that it starts in that resolution and doesn't have to switch to it? For example, by using command-line options or editing a config file. Does that help?
