SopCast Forum

I've been using SopCast in CrossOver Mac 6.2.1 for Online sports coverage, and it worked pretty fine for me. But after upgrading to 7 (and higher), SopCast can't run anymore. The application launches, and I log in without a problem, but then it freezes at the channel list.

For we were able to get it running before, I think (may be wrong though) that it might be a solvable problem? I know this application is not officially supported, but if a then-running software can't run with a newer version, it might be something worthwhile looking into...

While we do not typically work on unsupported software, you might consider submitting a ticket (or email to info@codeweavers.com if you cannot open a ticket) letting us know that Sopcast stopped working on upgrade from CrossOver 6.2 to CrossOver 7.x. If we can download it for free we may be able to find what made it stop working... and if we can do that, it may be possible to get it working again. Of course, something like this takes time and it may be a while (a long while) for us to fully research it. But, if it was once working it is much, much easier to get it to work again.

To do this we would also need the specifics on your setup where it was working (Mac version, SopCast version, bottle type, anything else that was necessary).

I have the same issue with Sopcast on CrossOver 7.x, but downgrading to 6.2.1 works fine!

Sopcast is available for free from : http://www.sopcast.com/download/

I'm running this all on a 2.16Ghz Intel Macbook, Mac OS X 10.5.6, Crossover 6.2.1 on the default win98 bottle.

FYI, getting Sopcast running using the method described on this page seems to work perfectly:

Where can I find 6.2.1? It is nowhere on the site that I can find, and its quite infuriating having to navigate this site.
