D3DMetal causes Sons of the Forest to run in slow motion

Hello-
I'm trying to run Sons of the Forest in Crossover 24.0.5 on an M1 Pro 16". I've tried every combination of settings (DXVK/D3DMetal + ESync/Msync).
With V-Sync enabled in the game and DXVK enabled, the frame rates are unplayably slow. With V-Sync disabled, there is horrible screen tearing.

Here's the weird part:
With D3DMetal, V-Sync causes the game to run in slow motion/bullet time. It achieves a perfect 120 frames per second, but the internal time of the game itself slows. With V-Sync disabled, the visual artifacts are about the same as those from using DXVK.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm not sure if the slow motion effect is an issue with the D3DMetal layer or with the game itself.

For reference, I cranked everything to its lowest settings and am running the game at 600p. The game's minimum requirements are listed on Steam as a 1060.
