As you can see in the previous two posts in this forum there have been previous requests for Crossover to support Solaris. Since those posts were written a lot, in fact, an astounding amount of work has gone into Solaris as a desktop and developer platform. The OpenSolaris.org has ~60, 000 members, the OpenSolaris distribution Indiana now ships as a commercially supported product and a distribution ecosystem has built up around the codebase with fine derivitaves such as Nexenta, Belenix & Schillix.
As a target I would argue that [open]Solaris presents a very different audience to Linux, many fortune 500's either use or are evaluating Sun Ray desktop solutions - Sun themselves must have at least ~ 20k of them, certain banks have started to use them in branches. These are groups that if aware and offered a well rounded commercial offering would love to be able to support their legacy applications on top of their Solaris deployments.
Even Sun had a go at doing this with Wabi in the 90's!
