You'll need to install Visual C++ 4.0 (MFC40) into the bottle with Solar Fire 8.x for it to run.

If it complains about missing files on launch, copy the files in
(bottle)/drive_c/Program Files/Solar Fire 8/User Files
to
(your home folder)/User Data Files
