im running ubuntu 10.10.
running crossover games 9.2.0.
nvidia drivers installed.

it said i need to be admin to run the game for the first time.

by the way, urban terror seems to run fine as an example.

When I try to launch the game from Steam, I get a blank screen, resolution is changed. Basically seems hung at that point.

Any ideas?

As reported in my other thread here, I couldn't fault this Steam title at
all on linux with a nvidia9800gt videocard/nvidia 260.19.21 drivers. By default
the game may start at 1024x768 resolution -- if your display setup cannot handle
this fullscreen mode, then you'd need try enabling 'emulate a virtual desktop'
in the Wine Configuration GUI for the Steam bottle. First thing the game does at
startup, is play an intro video -- this works for me, but if you hit the escape
key it will skip the intro and go to the game main menu...

@fabio - you haven't told us which release of the game you have - it might be
the new ubuntu ptrace implementation causing that error...

@Udo - you haven't told us which video card/drivers you're using
