Smartdraw won't export to jpeg

I have a landscape plan which I have been trying to export to .jpeg. I keep getting the message "There is nothing to export in this drawing".

If I try to print it to .pdf at "print on 1 page" only a small number of the objects on the drawing appear. If I try to export it to .pdf the program hangs. The Smartdraw file is around 30MB - could it be that this is too large to export?

I have a full, licensed version of Smartdraw Desktop and have managed to export other drawings in the past.
