Skype for Linux Beta has been released. I have it running on my system now!
As I read it, the pledge is to get the app running under Crossover, which it still doesn't.
It surprises me that there are already many apps on the list with pledges even though equivalent funcionality is already available natively on Linux.
People get hooked on their apps... That's why they vote foir them.
Not every function is available on the Linux version of Skype. I really needed the ability to forward calls. With 5.0.1 of Crossover Office I can do that. Skype doesn't work perfectly but it works enough to set up call forwarding or record a new voicemail message.
