Not entirely sure if i understand this. On the site here it says that it works ok as a digital download; however, i'm wondering if i should get it through steam or impulse. Has anyone gotten trinity to work through either of these methods? Thanks!

sorry; meant to add this.
Macbook pro: OS lion
latest version of crossover.
has anyone tried it in Crossover 11?
It doesnt seem to work due to the new SDActivate.exe but there is a work around to use an old SDActivate.exe but i have not tried it. I can link you to the post if you would like?
Alex
I can confirm that activation with an older SDActivate.exe works, and the game plays flawlessly.
wait; what? It works on mac? Does it work under mountain lion? What do you mean by SDactivation? Sorry I'm not all to intelligent with these things...lol!
Maybe something changed with the new OS?
Sorry for not replying earlier...was probably distracted and forgot to check back here.
can you please provide the link to the older SDActivate.exe file. I am running crossover 11 on OS mountain lion and keep running into the Stardock registration page and can not get past it.
where did you get the SDActive.exe file from. Is there somewhere online i can get it?
I have absolutely know idea what is meant by SDactivate.exe. I think it best to just run through some basic steps to getting it to work on mountain lion....
@rt3495 : I bought the DVD version of Sins: Trinity this week. It's version 1.00. Using the serial number printed inside the DVD case, I was able to download a full installer directly from Stardock's web site. I used this installer (ignoring the DVD completely) on CrossOver 12, enabled the "Experimental Mac Video Driver", then manually launched "Sins of a Solar Empire.exe" (not the shortcut that gets installed by the installer -- that doesn't work for me). That got things working.
