SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition Forum

Hi - I just installed Sim City 4 Deluxe with Codeweavers, it seemed to install fine, but now it gets stuck on the Bridge picture on start up. Any ideas on how to get it to work?

Missing a lots of details here...

Few questions :

Your OS ?
Your Sim City 4 Deluxe version ?
Your videocard driver ?
Your bottle is set to Windows XP ?

I will assume all is fine,

try adding " -d:software -intro:off -CPUCount:1 -CustomResolution:enabled -r#YOUR NATIVE RESOLUTION#x#YOUR NATIVE RESOLUTION#x32" at the launcher.

In Ubuntu, there is the location : "/home/YOU/.local/share/applications/"

I'm having the same problem, except it is always telling me to insert the disc and then restart the game. I can't remember if disc 1 or 2 is the play disc, but neither work.

I'm on OS 10.8.3 and am using Crossover 12
my video card is ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256 MB
I've tired a XP bottle and a Vista Bottle

(According to Google it's disc 2, but still no luck getting SimCity to recognize the disc is inserted)

I'm on linux, I can't help you very much but did you try adding " -d:software -intro:off -CPUCount:1 -CustomResolution:enabled -r#YOUR NATIVE RESOLUTION#x#YOUR NATIVE RESOLUTION#x32" at the launcher ?

I was going to try that but I don't know where to add it with the mac. I've done that before on the PC side, but I don't know where the entry for that is when I get info on the launcher.

In Ubuntu (Linux), it's at /home/eric/.local/share/applications/ , OSX is not that far from Linux, you should try to go that way...

PS: Make your hidden files visible, on Ubuntu ".local" is a hidden forder. :)

On presentation page, check down.

You can only get emails for the whole thing as far as i know, no only a topic...

Did anybody have success with this solution? I am having the same problems.

So if you read the Details tab, right where it says "Distributor Comparison Table" under CD-ROM, there is a comment that the program that supports disc reading and verifying isn't supported by crossover. But I don't know what version of Crossover that comment was left from....

So has anyone gotten Simcity 4 Deluxe to work with Disc that is running Crossover 12?

I dont have DRM on my Disk, i put the code while installing and that it, i simply have to put the cd in the cd-rom to play because he check for 1 file on the disk...

How do I tell if my disk has DRM and if it does can I strip it and reburn to a CD?

I'm getting stuck at the bridge screen too.
