I'm trying to install it from the C4P and it's not working. The bottles won't initialize so I can't even try to install it. Also should it be necessary to download the installer separately then choose it? or should it download and install automatically?

Looks like that c4p knows to download the french & german versions of
the client, so for other languages you'd have to download the installer
yourself and then use 'choose installer file'....

If you can't successfully create a bottle, then you have a more fundamental problem that's not related to Shaiya or its C4P file. Please open a support ticket.

Oh, and the reason the C4P will only download the French or German version is that Shaiya will only work with those servers. My understanding is that the other servers make use of GameGuard, which isn't compatible with CrossOver.

Ok. Thats cool. But I'm not sure if I should file a ticket for this as it is only this game that a bottle won't be created with. It works fine for everything else I have tried. It's rather odd.

Shaiya would create a bottle for me, but then simply wouldn't install. I guess it doesn't really make a difference for me after reading this thread... as I don't speak French or German. oh well.

I'm not sure when but GameGuard has been removed from the US version also. It still has some issues with ati video cards, but I've seen report of it working flawlessly with nvidia cards, and older ati drivers
