Gold medal

Tested this and have been playing it for 3 weeks. The loading screen sometimes flickers when the server is halfway full, but other than that everything works flawlessly. If you are playing a priest you may need to go into 'System Preferences' click 'Keyboard' and then click 'Use all F1, F2, ect. keys as standard function keys' to get to heal yourself. I am playing on a Mac OS Snow Leopard, works perfectly.

Are you using the standard install or a hacked version that removes GameGuard?

I am using the Standard Version. I downloaded it straight from the website.

The recently uploaded CP4 file said it was using the European version. Is that the release you got working?

I ask because CodeWeavers tested Shaiya not that long ago and couldn't get it working due to DRM still being present.

Well, this is the french version. I can't get it to install at all, so I have no idea what is going on. I do not know why they turned this into a C4P file.

What issues are you having. I was able to install the french version without issue. you need either the full installer or the dna installer. the new aka installer does not work.

When I tried to open this file it froze CXG and made my whole computer do an emergency reboot. I don't know what I did wrong. Can you give me some instructions on how to do this the "right" way? If I can't get this to run, I will just stick with the regular way of doing this.

Thanks,
Jordan

From your description, it sounds like you're encountering a kernel panic. Since CrossOver operates purely at the user level -- it doesn't install any kernel-level code -- it can't really be responsible for a kernel panic. That, by definition, is a bug in kernel-level code. It's usually the graphics drivers.

What kind of Mac do you have? What kind of GPU does it have? What version of Mac OS X are you running? (EDITED: Oops, I see you said Snow Leopard. Can't hurt to make sure it's up-to-date.)

If Shaiya has a command-line option to reduce its graphics level, that might help. For example, such an option might be "-dx8".

I have a Mac Snow Leopard. 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. ATI Radeon H 2600 Pro GPU. My Mac is a desktop.
I hope I got all the information you needed. If not just reply with what else you need.

Well, the installation of the game was ok, and the patching, but i had screen glitches. Had to play arround with some options to make it playable, but that might be my ati graphics. Using ubuntu 10.04.
