Installed, booting, but a cd error...

Hi,
I'm using a 2008 MacBook pro OSX 10.7.4 with crossover version 10.1.2....
I've got the good old settlers 3 game including the mission cd and the Amazons (all German versions) as an original piece of software.
Now I checked the web for solutions but my problem seems to be quite unique...
I've managed to install the game and it's extensions into a Win XP bottle (also tried Win 98) as other application, just like described. I didn't alter anything in the installation but left everything as default. Using the original patches to get the game to version 1.6 I also patched the game to current version. Afterwards I used that official XP fix. The game would start, opening the small window, where you can choose play settlers 3, screen goes black for a few seconds, then the Main menu of the game comes up, but in front of that the message to put CD 1 into the drive, though it is already in there. You see it is not the usual error for missing CDs coming up while trying to start the game, but one that occurs within the game.
I searched here and the web in general for a solution, but I couldn't find one, that was working.
Please help me, if you can, i'd really like to play this game.
And don't dare to give me any attitude about that stupid copyright act, I DO OWN A LEAGALLY PURCHASED VERSION OF THIS GAME!

Thanks for help,
regards from Switzerland,
Nik

You have copy the patch in settlers 3 installed folder before launch it?
Seem problem similar to the my when I execute patch without put it in setters 3 folder.
I had also set antivirusscan to never because give problem of false positive.
I had installed it on Ubuntu 12.04 successfull and the only problem seem the performance.
