*Report bugs in Serious Sam here*.

When I want to play Serious Sam on the network, in join game, I only see the games of Windows Users. My brother has win xp and I can see his game in the join game server list. But when my brother tries wants to join my game he cant see it in the server list but in the console he types: "/Connect gaboury" and it finds my game on the network but it wont connect, It disconnects. the same thing happens when I try to join my dads game. but me and my dad are able to connect to my brother. My dad and I have : XandrOS and my brother has winXPpro.

Do you have anything on the system that would block incoming ports, like a firewall or anything. Not sure if Xandros sets up a firewall by default.

well me and my dad set the firewall so we can play. we both know how to set it. we evened tried playin without enabling the firewall and it didnt work.

oh and did you read the forum I made

How gaboury installs and configs serious sam?

Hi,
My dad found out how to fix the cd bug problem in cxoffice for xandros (applies for all versions). All you have to do if your game/app can't find your cd-rom drive is this-->

open "cxoffice configuration", select the bottle in which your app is in, and go into the configuratio.go in "control panel" open "winecfg", click the tab : "Drives".

It should display this information:

DRIVE MAPPINGS
 LETTER | DRIVE MAPPING
 C: ../drive_c
 M: /media/cdrom0
 N: /media/cdrom1
 Y: /home/alejandro
 Z: /

you will have to modify the DRIVE MAPPING of M: and N:
for the drive mapping of M: type->>
"/var/autofs/cdrom.1/cdrom.1"
and for the drive mapping of N: type->>
"/var/autofs/cdrom.2/cdrom.2" (if you have a second dvd or cd-rom drive that is)

It will now display this information:

DRIVE MAPPINGS
 LETTER | DRIVE MAPPING
 C: ../drive_c
 M: /var/autofs/cdrom.1/cdrom.1
 N: /var/autofs/cdrom.2/cdrom.2
 Y: /home/alejandro
 Z: /

I dunno how you guys fixed the sound and network bugs. In "cxoffice 6.1.0 for Xandros" there aren't any more bugs!

"Serious Sam" now works Perfectly in "cxoffice 6.1.0 xandros"

😏 😉 😎

Hi, I've tested the game in Mandriva Powerpack 2008 and doesn't seem to work well.
Sometimes it doesn't launch.
Sometimes has sound but only for a few seconds in the game.
No More Network Problem.

We need more people to test this game under linux.
All I can say is that it works perfectly in Xandros Linux.

I'd be happy to test it under linux...if I could find it.
NOTE: www.serioussam.com seems to no longer work?

Here's the link to the download page :

Serious Sam Demo : Downloads Page

I you need help setting it go take a look at what I did :
How Gaboury Installs and Configs Serious Sam (Xandros-Linux)...

There's something important in the game you need to know. read below...
[b]IMPORTANT-> GRAPHICS API: OPENGL
Do not set GRAPHICS API settings to DIRECTX cause the game will freeze. If you did it
anyways and your screen froze, kill ssam: press CTRL+ALT+ESC (In linux Press Those Keys. In mac I don't remember the keys) and then click in the ssam window.

thanx,
Algatroy

PS : Feel free to report back to me so I can know how your progressing with the game.

😏 😉

The walls and floors flicker between transparency and opacity, so that it always looks like you're no clipping. Open GL has this problem, and Direct not surprisingly does not work at all.
