HOW TO INSTALL SSAM
1->In cxsetup (the CrossOver "Configuration" application), create a new bottle and name it ssam. Make ssam the default bottle. Press apply and close cxsetup.
2->Launch the Serious Sam setup. If installing from a cd, the setup.exe path is: /var/autofs/cdrom.1/cdrom.1/setup.exe
3->After you finnish installing, launch cxsetup. Select ssam, press configure, open winecfg.
WINECFG
1->Add application: Serious Sam.exe, select Windows 2000 for Windows Version. In the applist, select Default Settings.
2->Graphics: Enable Emulate a virtual desktop and set the size to 800x600.
3->"Audio: Set Hardware Acceleration to Full, Default Sample Rate to 44100, and set Default Bits Per Sample to 16. (if Driver Emulation is enabled, then disable it.)
4->Drives: Press Autodetect. After it's finnished autodetecting, press Apply, ok, and reboot the bottle. Close cxsetup, and launch Serious Sam - The First Encounter.
SERIOUS SAM: CONFIGURE THE OPTIONS
We're almost done configurating it now, dude, don't give up now!😉
1->In the main menu press OPTIONS.
2->VIDEO OPTIONS: Set SCREEN RESOLUTION to any size you want, it won't bug. You can also set the game fullscreen by pressing ALT+ENTER.
IMPORTANT-> GRAPHICS API: OPENGL
Do not set GRAPHICS API settings to DIRECTX cause the game will freeze. If you did it
anyways and your screen froze, kill ssam: press CTRL+ALT+ESC and then click in the ssam window.
If you want to play widescreen press RENDERING OPTIONS.
3->AUDIO OPTIONS: Set AUTO-ADJUST to YES if it says NO. Press Apply. While your playing ssam or after you change level, you might experience sound bugs. Sound starts to glitch or does the annoying sound that your TV does after a huge thunderstorm (when it snows in your TV, you know what I mean), go in the AUDIO OPTIONS menu, and press apply, the sound will be back to normal.
4->EXECUTE ADDON: press "GFX: Extreme quality". (it's the easiest way to set ssam with the maximum quality graphics).
5->Now exit ssam.
WINECFG
I know, back to winecfg. Why?, well you'll see. Read what you have to do and you'll find out why...
1->Launch cxsetup. Select ssam, press Configure, open winecfg.
2->In the applist, select Default Settings.
3->Graphics: disable Emulate a virtual desktop. Press apply and exit cxsetup.
