This game doesn't launch on Crossover Games 8. A little window pops up, then nothing. I tried loading "sntrm.exe", but that doesn't do anything at all.

Have you tried enabling 'emulate a virtual desktop' in winecfg?
Have you tried installing directx runtime into the same bottle?

Please refer to the Tips & Tricks section, I have added a detailed guide on how to get the GOG.com version to work in CXG 9 (also works for CXG 8). The game would start in windowed mode only, though.
