No text, missing some elements

I followed the instructions (installed DirectX, VC++ 2005 redistributable), and I can get Sam and Max 302 to install and start. But all the text in the menu or subtitles are either missing or white boxes. Do I need to install a font file for that?

Also, the game does not render all the elements on screen. I cannot see any of the characters (even though I can see a gun floating in mid-air).

Do you have nvidia or ati?

The season 3 just works for myself, I only did those steps that I mention in the tips&tricks with a new bottle.

I'm using nvidia with the newest beta driver 256.25 but it worked perfectly for myself also on 195.36.31. Also has worked fine with wine 1.2 rc using a new wineprefix to which I installed the same things via winetricks and nothing extra.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04 with the ATI Radeon driver. I actually also tried VirtualBox with the Direct3D support and I get exactly the same problem as Crossover.

I'm sorry but I'm pretty much out of touch with ati radeon drivers but the problem occurring both in cxg and virtualbox makes this sound like something that could be fixed via some driver setting or possibly it's a problem with your ati chipset model. What ati model do you have? Could of course be fixed by a newer driver too. 10.6 catalyst just came out at least.

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem, anyone found a solution since last month ?

I have the steam version of the game.

I'm running under ubuntu 10.04, tried with the latest wine package (1.2rc7)and crossover games 9, with the latest fglrx drivers.
