Summary: 11.2.0 added support for the microphone, but the updater and activation still aren't working.
-
The updater will download, but will not start according to the prompt that indicates it will. I found the file in
~/.cxoffice/RosettaStone/drive_c/users/crossover/Local Settings/Temporary Internet Files/Content.IE5/G3E6AZ9A
renamed it to have an .exe extension, and ran the updater manually. It attempts to update the rosetta stone components but fails on the speech engine. This results in an unusable installation - good thing I made a backup! -
Activation still gets nowhere even though the updater finds an update and actually downloads it! Go figure.
-
Fullscreen now works! (at least with my dual screen setup, nvidia twinview)
-
Changing audio devices while Rosetta Stone has them in use will lock the audio out. I had to simulate a windows reboot and kill a few RosettaStone processes to restore it.
-
If you enable speech recognition, sound I/O won't work at all unless you set your sound preferences to use the C-Media for both mic and output. Make sure the C-Media USB headset isn't plugged in when you start it if you plan on using your desktop speakers (and no VR).
Hope this helps someone!
