Using the latest and greatest xover 8.0, Rosetta Stone v3 works great. Of course not perfect but works well enough to learn the languages. I have tested Arbic Levels 1,2,3 and Spanish spain 1,2,3 as well as Spanish latin 1,2,3. Install as the tips and tricks say under windows xp. Dont bother updating.
Japanese 1 and 2 work well. Sometimes a section will come up with a blank screen when starting (such as 'reading' or 'listening') - closing and then re-starting Rosetta Stone fixes the issue.
